Tennis Court Maintenance — Synthetic Grass & Artificial Clay
Synthetic grass and artificial clay courts are looked after the same way, and both fail from the infill up: contaminated sand blocks the drainage and moss takes hold. We look after them at three levels, each a different job with different equipment — maintenance once a month, decompaction twice a year, and rejuvenation every three to five years, depending on how well the court has been maintained.

Three Levels of Care
- 01Maintenance · Once a MonthBrushing and sweeping the court, clearing leaves and debris, taking the contaminated sand out of the edges and working the clean sand back into play. Weed and moss killer along the edges, which matters most through the winter.
- 02Decompaction · Twice a YearStarts with a full clean-up, throwing out the contaminated sand at the edges. A rotary brush machine then works deep into the pile and lifts the compacted material up from the bottom, which keeps the court draining. Edges are treated for weeds and moss when the weather allows.
- 03Rejuvenation · Every 3–5 YearsA separate job with separate equipment. A compressor feeds a purpose-built machine that blows the sand, dirt and fines up from the base of the pile. The contaminated sand is taken away and fresh sand put down; the amount varies from court to court. How often a court needs it comes down to how well it has been maintained.
